There are no staff positions open at this time.
Internships are reguarly available in various departments at the Reporter.
These unpaid positions are three months in duration. Interns are
required to work for approximately 20 hours per week. College credit can
be arranged when appropriate.
Culture Internship -
Applicants interested in gaining valuable experience in arts &
culture reporting must demonstrate enthusiasm for Santa Fe's cultural
and artistic endeavors with intelligence and good natured irreverence.
Duties include: writing about cultural events; Internet
research;maintain press files; general clerical and office duties;
phone reporting; maintain weekly calendars. Send cover letter,
resume and three writing samples of critical writing (one must be an

News Internship
- Interns will provide internet and other research assistance for
reporters, help coordinate political reporting, be responsible for
organizing candidate endorsement interviews and provide back-up
reporting. Some light clerical also may be required. Send letter of

Production/Web Internship -
Interns will assist the production department with graphic design for
print and Web site maintainance. Duties may include: updating ads,
scanning images, creating PDFs, archiving files, optimizing images for
the Web, basic text/HTML formatting, uploading content. Applicants must
be computer literate and should demonstrate some familiarity with page
layout and photo editing software, or a strong interest in
learning Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and InDesign.

Photography Internship -
Are you willing to push yourself and your work? Driven to succeed as a
photographer? Resourceful, creative, and hardworking? Photography
interns will shoot everything from DJs to local politicians. Applicants
