TONY LAGOURANIS: Lessons from Abu Ghraib
Date: October 4, 2007 The Forum; Length: 1 hr. 45 min.

Tony Lagouranis, a former Abu Ghraib Army interrogator, discusses the failure of U.S. Intelligence Services' attempts to understand the Iraqi people and its nascent Iraqi government — and how lessons from these failures can be used to foster improved relations in the Middle East. Lagouranis has appeared on PBS' “Frontline,” “Hardball” with Chris Matthews, “Democracy Now!”, Al Jazeera, the BBC, and in the movies Ghosts of Abu Ghraib and Iraq for Sale. He is the author of Fear Up Harsh: An Army Interrogator's Dark Journey through Iraq (Penguin).
