Best of Santa Fe 2013

Santa Fe's best shops, restaurants, celebrities, bacon, bars, adventures, politicians, popcorn and much, much more

est is a bit of a misnomer. How, for instance, could one compare the very different, but equally overindulgent, breakfast burritos of Posa's and Jalapeño's? How could we possibly choose a "best" green chile cheeseburger (especially in the temporary absence of Bobcat-turned-Santa Fe Bite)? So the Best of Santa Fe, it turns out, is more of an art than a science, and we couldn't do it without the diligent voting of our fair readers. (Thank you!) This year, in addition to reader voting in close to 100 categories, we've added a personal touch: our own staff picks for the best drinks, eats, adventures and quintessentially Santa Fe experiences. In this issue, we'll tell you where to find your soulmate (hint: not at the Matador); where to go when you need to drown your sorrows; which beer to drink this summer; which drink to order when you need to impress your date; how to prove you're a local; and where to find the best popcorn, green chile and bacon in town. And, of course, much more—so read on, and enjoy the very best Santa Fe has to offer.
