Top 10 rad things at the Jean Cocteau Cinema reopening

t was a family affair on Friday evening, when Santa Fe's beloved Jean Cocteau Cinema reopened for business at the hands of A Song of Ice and Fire author George RR Martin.

Martin collected ticket stubs, while wife Parris greeted people inside the theater. “Isn’t this fun?” she told SFR as she led theatergoers down the stairs. “Go down and say hello to our little friend,” she continued. The friend ended up being one of the stars of 1956’s Forbidden Planet , who having just received a fresh lube job, made a surprise appearance.

But that was just one of the evening’s highlights. Here’s a list of the top 10 moments experienced on opening night:
