Specter of Arizona Haunts New Mexico

Susana Martinez' Executive Order on policing immigration riles New Mexicans

By SFR Staff
state-police New Mexicans are reacting strongly to Governor Susana Martinez' executive order altering immigration policy as it relates to law enforcement for officers of the state. Martinez' actions follow Albuquerque Mayor Richard Berry's actions drawn straight from the republican party playbook.

Finally, someone with a backbone! While I'm not a republican, I wholeheartedly support the new gov's decision regarding inquiry as to legal status. If you wish to live in this country and benefit from all of it wonderful resources and opportunities, come here the correct way, legally. Just as my grandparents and so many others have.

I agree with Lynne wholeheartedly!! Illegals have made our borders, border states, and our nation become the laughingstock of the world. There are NO RIGHTS for ILLEGALS!! Why can't people understand that? Right off the bat, it is obvious that the illegals have no personal integrity nor conscience when it comes to the laws of the U.S. I think the U.S. gov't should lock down our borders totally for a few years while we attempt to deport as many illegals as we can in the mean time. Sure, economies will hurt for a while, but our economy is in the crapper now anyway, so we won't notice a thing. Round 'em up and ship 'em out!!
