Best of Santa Fe: 2008

The votes are in, and so is the video from the party

By: 08/13/2008

When it comes to national politics, we’re betting many Santa Feans will vote for the “change” candidate come November 2008. When it comes to our annual Best of Santa Fe survey, however, readers mix it up. We’ve got some pretty big shake-ups this year (Hint: Check out the restaurant winners), but there also are some venerable favorites back to declare victory.

Putting together BOSF requires a huge expenditure of energy from all us here at the Reporter. But we also offset our carbon emissions; many of this year’s interviews were conducted via telephone as we, like most of you, have been trying to drive as little as possible.

Also as a nod to our current gas/energy crisis, we feature several of this year’s winners posed with a variety of alternative modes of transportation (and that includes stilts!).

Tobias,

We'll try and make sure that downloadable .pdf files are up by the end of the weekend. All of the BOSF content should be online at this point so, in the meantime, you should be able to use the toolbar to email BOSF entries of particular interest to all your friends, here, there and everywhere (that there is internet service).

Thanks for your interest and support

Thanks for the "Best Of" issue and providing some of the stuff online. Where's da PDF for the individual categories? Have visitors come to town and they want to read about it before they get here (printed copy does not fit into my scanner :)
