Railyard Cinema Hopeful Has Dubious Record

SFR has learned that one of the principals in the company that wants taxpayers to help build a cinema in the Railyard has been charged several times with writing bad checks. But Richard Jaramillo’s background is not the only suspicious thing about Railyard Co LLC.

Fierro Verdict Rendered

SFR was present at the First Judicial District courthouse when the verdict in the long, arduous Carlos Fierro case was returned. Last November, the prominent 36-year-old Santa Fe attorney struck and killed William Tenorio outside of what was then WilLee’s Blues Club.

EXTRA: A great deal of apprehension was lifted from the shoulders of students, staff and faculty at the College of Santa Fe on Tuesday, Dec. 2 when college president Stuart Kirk announced that a board member and an alum had together donated enough funds to keep the struggling school afloat through the spring term.
College of Santa Fe Deal Falls Through
EXTRA: In a dramatic turn of events, the College of Santa Fe has lost its deal with Laureate Education. CSF has appealed to the governor and the secretary of education to arrange a last-minute state merger with Highlands University or UNM.
