In your average consignment store, you can buy, sell or trade, and hopefully you buy, sell or trade something worthwhile. At Doubletake, there’s no question you’ll leave happy as the store works with more than 36,000 consignors. The 23-year-old store looks its age—it’s collected quite an array of merchandise, from furniture to jewelry to clothing to rental strollers. Owner Suzanne Wissman Moore’s secret, she says, is buying what sells. And what sells these days is all over the place: “It’s so eclectic right now, more eclectic than ever.” And eclectic finds are fun for not just the lucky looker. “We’re really enjoying being able to mix it all up now, vintage and contemporary for men and women,” Moore says. The latest edition to the many sub-stores that call Doubletake home is the Gallery at Doubletake, which features art from Western artist KW Moore, so now you can spice up your walls while your wardrobe gets the same treatment.
