It’s been a busy year for the boys of D Numbers. The trio released its debut album Lightparade in March of ’07 and hit the road. Paul Feathericci, Brian Mayhall and Ben Wright couldn’t be more enthusiastic about the response. “We sold out of the album and have to bring in more,” Feathericci tells SFR. After hitting the West Coast twice, the Midwest once, multiple trips to Colorado and Texas and a few gigs at home, the band is ready to get to work on a new album that it hopes to release sometime in the fall. Mayhall says of the new album, “The material is coming in a more natural way. We’d been playing the songs from Lightparade for years, but this is from a more concentrated portion of our lives.” So what can Santa Fe expect in the way of experimentation from the new album? “It’s heavier on the electronics,” Wright says. “We’ve got some new drum machines and more minimal arrangements to it. The sound is way more spacious.” But don’t worry, it’ll still be danceable.
