Santa Fe Public Schools Board of Education member Steve Carrillo is hosting a town hall meeting next Tuesday to hear from the public about their concerns for the district.---
The meeting will be held at the Democratic Headquarters, 1420 Cerrillos Road, across from the Indian School, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
Carrillo has said the meeting will have an open agenda. In a press release, he writes that the district is "at a crossroads" and he wishes to hear from his constituents in District 1 about "whatever's on their mind relative to education and our school district."
The schools in District 1 are EJ Martinez, Chaparral and Piñon Elementary, Capshaw Middle School and Santa Fe High School.
Carrillo has been vocal in expressing criticism of district leadership,
recently questioning the BoE's actions from last February
, before Carrillo joined the BoE.
