Sometime on the night of Aug. 10, a burglary occurred at SFR. Around 6:30 the following morning, employees called the Santa Fe Police Department dispatch. Officer Corrine Jones arrived at 7:15 am; finding no one, she left without filing a report.
At noon, SFR called again, wondering why no one had come to investigate. Dispatch sent Jones back to the scene.
Businesslike, with a thick, sandy ponytail, she smiled ever-so-slightly when she explained why the SFR employees at 7:15 hadn’t seen her.
“I thought,” she said, “it was [at] the New Mexican.”
