Armed SFPD officers are blocking access to the district courthouse.
We've just gotten word that the First Judicial District Court is on lockdown, following an anonymous call placed to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department. The caller said someone was going to the court "to shoot a judge," SF Sheriff Greg Solano tells us.

The court has been closed following the 1:20 pm call, and nearby Carlos Gilbert Elementary has been evacuated. City and county offices also are on lockdown.
Solano says the call came from a disconnected cell phone, which made it possible for the caller to dial 911, but makes the call impossible to trace. He says the bulk of his department's officers, along with city personnel, are helping to "investigate the threat."

An official announcement from Solano's office says:
"Due to a threat, First Judicial District Court will be closed for the remainder of the day. The public may call the court in the morning to discuss any rescheduling of any hearings or today's business at the court. Further information will be released at a later time. The public is advised to stay away from the area for the remainder of the day."

A brief revisit to the courts found a bunch of tough-guy cops and city Public Works Director Ike Pino, looking wistful.
"I can see the emails piling up," Pino told SFR.
