Even the most non-spiritual among us fall under the spell of India Palace. The soft bow and "namaste" that greet you at the door are just the beginning, as everything from the mild lighting to attentive but subtle service instills a sense of calm. Even the curry buzz from any number of dishes featuring the addictive spice is gentle. Many folks restrict their visits to India Palace to the lunch buffet, which is a shame, as the extensive dinner menu offers well balanced chicken, lamb and seafood choices. The sauces

aren't restricted to just curry and masala-the korma (a creamy sauce with almonds, cashews and raisins), tomato and mint accents bring the menu to life. Go out on a limb and order one of the many plates cagily described as being adorned with "exotic herbs and spices." So what if that only hints at the secrets that go on in the kitchen-after all, mystery is part and parcel of a divine experience.
