It's amazing what kids are doing these days. Who would guess that a keyboard and a whiny voice could be the sole basis for a 10-track album?
Noah "Keyboard" Devore proves that you can get pretty crazy with a keyboard. His self-titled debut album consists of goofy cooing, making for soft, even romantic, ballads. "Spend the Night" is a tune reminiscent of 1950s doo-wop-catchy, repetitive lyrics that sound like a diner on a Friday night, poodle skirts and white T-shirts with a pack of cigarettes tucked in the sleeve. "Krul!" is "Puff the Magic Dragon" for the new millennium, with lyrics like, "Journey into a mystical time in place…Creatures of myth with their incredible magic…This is the planet of Krul!"
Keyboard sings about his hometown of Santa Fe, love and random, strange things like seahorses, kittens and a planet named "Krul." The album is fun. The sound is unique, even a bit weird. All young artists deserve a listen. This young artist will bring a smile to your face and will surely make you giggle.
