In mid-summer, Marble Brewery and Tap Room expanded it's popular bar with an extension to the patio overlooking the Plaza. Inside, a new room provides additional tables, leather seats and shuffleboard for all who make the short trip upstairs from the Santa Fe Arcade.---
The new room almost looks like a ski lodge on the inside. The triangular ceilings sit high above a gas fireplace supplanted by circles of lush seats. Groups of friends sit and enjoy the microbrews in the warmth of the fireplace.
Regular customer customer Forrest Gomez loves the addition to his favorite bar. "It's a cozy room with an industrial twist," Gomez told SFR. "Perfect to stay warm in the winter next to the fireplace."
Marble Brewery, which opened its Santa Fe pub in 2009, has been a popular spot since day one. Patrons enjoy ten taps of rotating beers ranging from the deep, hoppy Double IPA to Wildflower Wheat.
A recent summer extension added 500 square feet to the patio to the existing 200, opening the doors for more seating—which means more room for beer and pizza, prepared by their neighbor Rooftop Pizzeria.
In the new room inside, a plasma TV sits high above the shuffleboard table, which provides hours of entertainment for anyone who bothers to learn the rules.
"It's nice and roomy," says Demetri Cernove. "A good place for conversation and meeting people."
And don't think that because it's getting to be wintertime that you can't enjoy the balcony seating overlooking the Plaza. Marble has graciously installed portable heaters to make even the most cold-sensitive patrons feel cozy outside.
So head to Marble Brewery and Taproom on the Plaza to enjoy a frosty brew inside a larger building. Just be sure to head there early to catch a seat next to the warm fire.
