Webber, at left, Johnson, at right, oppose new medical cannabis rules
Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson railed against newly proposed medical cannabis rules at a morning news conference that included Democratic candidate for governor Alan Webber, patients and several licensed producers.
Johnson says if the rules are adopted he believes patients will drive to Colorado, where marijuana has been legalized for recreational use. He also predicted law enforcement will start setting up roadblocks to check cars of people returning to the Land of Enchantment.

Democrat Alan Webber is also speaking out against the new rules. He says patients need safe access to their medication.
