Santa Fe High School's theatre department kicks off the season next Thursday, Oct. 20 with a play called Sylvia.---
The play runs through Oct. 22 and each showing begins at 7:33 pm, an SFHS theatre tradition. Prices are $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors, and the proceeds help fund the department's programs. In addition, the theatre department is raising money for next year's trip to Edinburgh, where a group of SFHS kids will perform at the Festival Fringe.
According to program director Reed Meschefske, Sylvia is about a man going through a mid-life crisis whose life is turned upside down when he meets a dog named Sylvia.
"Experience the ups and downs that all dog lovers know and understand and will relate to in SYLVIA," Meschefske writes SFR in an email.
