Freshman Sen. Eric Griego, D-Bernalillo, has a bill sitting on the Senate President's table this morning called, "
: New Mexico House Whipping Day." In essence, it's a declaration that the Senate will whoop the House in basketball this year for the first time in nearly a decade.
The bill identifies Feb 18 as "Whipping Day," but we expect an amendment to be introduced on the floor, since the game has been postponed to March 6. Here's are some excerpts (bold are mine):
