The approximate number of registered Democrats (or approximately 3 percent of the 717 people polled) who said they would vote for Bill Richardson to be the Democratic candidate for president, according to a recent poll by Quinnipiac University. The mark is a 1 percent gain for Richardson from the June version (which included Al Gore) but the same percentage the governor earned in the poll in May.

The percentage of 600 likely Democratic primary and caucus voters who said Richardson was their preferred presidential nominee, according to a recent poll by the American Research Group (ARG). The number represents the highest percentage of voters who favor Richardson in any national poll conducted in August and is a 4 percent increase for Richardson from ARG's July poll.
