How to Get Involved In Community Theater
'Tis the season for rebirth and regeneration. Theater in Santa Fe is taking this theme seriously and getting geared up to rise phoenix-like from the ashes. Be a part of this renaissance and fulfill those dramatic yearnings by getting involved in community
theater. For budding Barrymores, performance opportunities range from a women's circus intensive with Wise Fool (992-2588) to open
auditions with a variety of old and new companies. Check SFR's Community Announcements and Pasatiempo for audition listings. If you prefer

to literally pound the boards, volunteer to build sets or design lights and sound with the professionals at Santa Fe Performing Arts (982-7992) or the Santa Fe Playhouse (988-4262). You can also waltz into either of the aforementioned companies and volunteer to be an assistant director, which is a crash-course in organizational skills and nearly all aspects of theater. Maybe you're a Miller-in-the-making and need a forum for your dramatic genius. SFPA is accepting synopses and character analyses (send attn: W. Nicholas Sabato, P.O. Box 22372, Santa Fe, NM 87502) for its fall production of a new play. Or keep it short and sweet for
