Toga Time
The assertion that John Dotts introduced Latin classes to Santa Fe Public Schools is incorrect. The late Pedro Ribera-Ortega taught Latin at Santa Fe High School for many years, even hosting a popular Roman banquet back before it was politically incorrect to force students to dress in togas and pretend to drink wine (jugs of grape juice).

Ready, Set, Adapt
It's not hard, and it's grossly irresponsible for us not to adapt and respect the fact that we are blasting through our planet's resources at an alarming rate.

The Whole Package
I enjoy the comments of all the self-righteous people who tout how environmentally responsible they are for remembering to take their bags into the grocery store. I proudly leave my bags in the car, and I am quite responsible. I am not lazy. I find it more sanitary to transport many foods like raw meats in disposable bags.
It is pretty ridiculous when products you are purchasing have packaging that fill the landfill more rapidly than the bags everyone is so concerned about. Styrofoam egg and meat trays, bags and boxes all add up. Perhaps everyone is fighting the wrong battle?

Predictable
They chose not to enforce the "pay for paper" part of the ban, so this was definitely going to happen from day one.
