News, Oct. 15: “Chaparral Principal”
What Now?
As a parent of children attending this school, I am concerned. I asked my 6-year-old first-grader if kids ever got timeouts at lunch. He told me a story about how a kid spit in his hair and had to go sit in the naughty box. He said he thought it was a "normal idea." There have been times when kids have acted out in some way, and my son will come home angry that none of the school staff did anything to correct the offender, so in this case, he was glad that the staff at least took some kind of action. I'm not sure what to think of this. What is the appropriate consequence for a child that spits on classmates in the lunchroom?

Hypocrisy
This is an outrage! I'm ashamed of my son's school at this moment. This is especially disturbing given the fact that the school district spent a large amount of money on a "love and logic" presentation that was around four hours long. I do not see how this fits in with that philosophy. Shame on you, Michael Granado!

News, Oct. 8: “Fraud vs. Fact”
Confused
Why would Republicans want to do away with voting privileges, equally given to their voters? It's been noted most Republicans are elderly white males. Poor and homeless, vicious right-wingers abound on the buses.
Typical rich insulated Republicans are all afforded extorted, inflated college (student-hood) and certification. Or could it be Republicans are trying to divert scrutiny from themselves to steal more elections, with an uproar over a handful?
SFR forgot to remind or inform of the spectacle of George W Bush's anointing when thousands were deprived of their ballots if their names were similar to felons and voting machines were rigged and not recounted in Ohio's Republican counties, causing King George's reelection.
