Enthused for Change
It’s an interesting read. The first thing I notice is that the writer seems a little distant from what I hear people saying—that they’re incredibly unhappy with how the city is doing. They write that there’s a lack of enthusiasm for the upcoming election. I actually notice the opposite. I’ve seen people fired up, just not in favor of Webber. The other thing I saw was Webber’s focus on dealing with corruption and outdated systems, which is admirable. I didn’t know that. But what’s left out is the day-to-day dissolution of the place, from sidewalks to medians to crime. I came away thinking that Webber is more focused on the business side of things and organizational issues, and is out of touch with down-to-earth realities of living here.

He’s Grrrrreat!
I like your magazine. In the past, I met a few of your employees and I was very pleased. I am not involved in local politics and did not even vote in local elections.
The past year I had a few small things, so I contacted Mayor Webber. I found him very professional, effective, personal!
I would like to remind you that sometimes in the middle of petty small-town politics we forget we have a great mayor and great governor and for a moment we need to appreciate them because of their vision, and as they say in a song, having a friend.

Muy Bueno
I’m unsure who wrote the great piece on chile but hey thanks. I’m glad NMSU is getting some recognition. It’s been a long road for them and they have done a stellar job with preserving knowledge and developing chile for New Mexico. Their AG dept is an incredIble resource for education on all plant life in New Mexico as well, an ocean of knowledge and wisdom.
It’s important that the public be educated on the chile history here, it shouldn’t be taken for granted, it’s not just the newest, grooviest food fad ’'pepper.” It helps to send up big prayers for rain on the crops, the lifeblood for many.
Que bueno on Bueno 70 years!
