Beep! Beep! Who's Got The Keys To The Food Truck? VROOOOOOOOOOOOM!
I get suggestions all the time of where to eat, what to talk about, etc. The most, by a HUGE margin, have been about Gourmet Today Café. I finally was able to go for lunch this week, so look for my review soon.
Let's FORK!
Food trucks are amazing. New Mexico caught up on the trend a few years ago and this year finds the 3rd Annual Great New Mexico Food Truck Festival (a mouthful) pulling up Saturday April 8 at the Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum. The event will feature over 25 local food trucks, serving a massive range of foods. There will be a large selection of local breweries represented as well and music and other events throughout the day.
Go get your truck on. More info and buy tickets HERE.
- WHEN:
- Noon-6 pm Saturday April 8
- WHERE:
- International Balloon Museum, 9201 Balloon Museum Drive, Albuquerque
- COST:
- $5; 12 & under free
And if you can't get enough food truck love, the Reporter will throw its annual Santa Fe Food Truck-O-Rama in May. I'll drop that info as we get closer.
The Bridge at Santa Fe Brewing hosted a benefit concert on March 25 for Jambo Café. The restaurant has been out of commission since a car smashed into their storefront March 2. KOB4 has a great video up on their site about the event. There is also an interview with Chef Ahmed Obo. You can still get your Jambo fix at their food truck, parked right outside their restaurant in the College Plaza at 2010 Cerrillos Road.
See you next week,
Michael
