The United States now intends to formally pull out of the Paris climate agreement on Thursday because of what the president says are potential economic problems. Local officials are predictably aghast (or celebrating), and promising to do something about harmful carbon emissions on the local level. Since holding our breath might be good given the air quality, we'll be doing the same while we wait for those promises to lose their loft. PNM, meanwhile, tells the Journal that the news won't impact electricity rates here.
