COVID-19 Map
Pediatric cases of COVID-19 have made up 14.5% of new cases in the last week or so, according to a June 7 report on pediatric cases, roughly the same percentage of pediatric cases overall. Within pediatric cases, 16-17-year-olds have the highest case rate per 1,000 population. Overall, there have been close to 30,000 pediatric cases, 101 in the seven-day period covered by the report.

June 7 pediatric COVID-19 case report
There have been 196 total pediatric hospitalizations, two in the last week, and two deaths.
New Mexico health officials today reported 103 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the statewide total so far to 203,919. The health department has designated 191,490 of those cases as recovered.
Bernalillo County had 20 cases, followed by Doña Ana County with 14 and Santa Fe County with 10, five from the 87507 ZIP code, which ranked second in the state today for the most new cases.
The state also announced three additional deaths, two recent—according to the health department, COVID-related deaths are reported when a death certificate has been issued, and some death certificates are delayed due to insufficient information. There have now been 4,295 fatalities.
As of today, 100 people are hospitalized with COVID-19.*
Currently, 66.6% of New Mexicans have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 57.2% are fully vaccinated. In Santa Fe County, 75.2% have had at least one dose and 65.2% are fully inoculated.

According to a DOH news release, previously reported numbers included four cases that have been identified as duplicates (one in Chaves County, one in Dona Ana County, one in McKinley County and one in Valencia County); three cases have been determined to be out-of-state residents (one in Curry County, one in McKinley County and one in San Juan County); these have now been corrected. County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.
