In today's podcast, we sit down with Antonia Gonzales, producer and anchor of National Native News on Koahnic Broadcasting. She discusses some of the big legislative priorities and how they are being received in the state's Indigenous communities. Those issues include education reform, climate change and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. Gonzales discusses some of the issues not being talked about much in the Roundhouse, including the protection of sacred sites. For instance, there is an ongoing battle in the Four Corners, where tribal leaders are fighting to keep oil and gas exploration away from Chaco Canyon.
